Ryan's 6th Birthday

This is a backdated post....

Today is the fifth day of Chinese New Year 2013. Nothing special, we just spent our days at home (really have a good rest) before Monday comes.School will start on Monday,but for me, tomorrow I have to start teaching again after off for a week.

Back to the topic....Ryan's birthday was fall on 1st Feb and we just have simple celebration at home. This year I never prepare meesuah for Ryan's birthday,instead, I cooked steamboat for his birthday celebration. It has been long time never have steamboat at home and that night, I invited my in-laws to come over for dinner.

We have a very full dinner ,so far for cake cutting we have to delay till 8+ pm and Ryan just could not wait cutting his birthday cake. After dinner, he has been asking me non-stop when he could have his birthday cake. Ryan loves to eat cakes (same like me...we both love to eat cakes).


Teng Teng Teng.....at last the clock stroke 8.30pm and we got ready for the cake cutting, at first we sang a birthday song....snap some pictures....then cut the cake....and of course, we ate the cake too. Since Ryan could not take any chocolate, so I just ordered a  pandan cake with kiwi filling and topped up with some fruits

Hubby's birthday

*I supposed to make this post yesterday,but due to the internet line was done..I have to postpone till tonight*

Yesterday was a special day....12-12-12 and it was my hubby's birthday. I bought him a birthday cake and cooked some simple dishes for our dinner. As part of traditional practice, chicken soup meesuah is a must for celebrating birthday.

Ryan was the "happiest boy" when I told him we were getting a birthday cake for daddy. Ryan loved to eat cakes.
After dinner, Ryan waited anxiously for the birthday cake to come...since we were still quite full, I decided to have the cake cutting session around 8.30pm.
Ryan and I sang a birthday song together followed by photo taking session....A very simple celebration!!

Our first "Time"

Time flies very fast and Ryan is reaching 6 years old in 2 months time.This morning, while looking back at my pictures album,  I found this "special picture". It was my first time celebrating my birthday with Ryan.

I remembered well when I reached my sweet seventeen, I had a birthday celebration together with my best friend at the restaurant.That was the only time I have a party on my birthday. During my childhood, my mom would cook a bowl of meesuah for me on my birthday,just a simple celebration.

And now, I wish to celebrate my birthday with hubby & Ryan every year....a simple dinner with a birthday cake.

Attending a Birthday Party

Yesterday we attended Ryan's uncle 1st birthday party. It was a big gathering .. all hubby's relatives were invited to this party. Too bad I have no chance to snap the food as everyone were so hungry and could not wait to wallop the food when the catering reached the place. I would say...the food were great especially the curry chicken. As for Ryan, he could not wait to eat the birthday cake.....after having his lunch, he quickly ask for the cake.
Overall, we have a full and delicious lunch yesterday and everyone were so happy to see each other again.

What Day is Today?

27 Aug........Today is my birthday. Actually I totally forget that today is my birthday until last night my MIL reminded me. After the car accident, I was not in mood to celebrate my birthday...so I totally forget about "Today".
Thanks lot to my kind MIL, she cooked a big pot of chicken soup, eat with Meesuah and boiled some eggs for celebrating my birthday. Even she was working (confinement job) now, she woke up early to prepare this delicious meal for me.
Tonight we will just have simple meal for my birthday with my family.

Ryan 5th Birthday

ON 1 Feb 2012, we celebrated Ryan 5th birthday....time flies so fast, Ryan has reached 5 years old now. He becomes more independent and asking lot of questions nowadays.
I just cooked simple dinner and invited MIL for dinner. Also bought him a cake with Ultraman+car decoration(as per Ryan's request).

Ryan was so happy and can't wait to eat the cake. He has a big slice of cake for that night.

A good Saturday

Today is an off-day for Ryan...no school and we just enjoy our free time at home. This morning, when he woke up, his daddy already off to work and he is looking for his daddy to make susu for him....lucky after some bujuk-bujuk, I managed to calm him down and he agreed to drink his milk (of course, I am the one who make the susu for him).
As normal, we will have our simple breakfast and I make home-made Kampua Mee for both of us, with two cup of barley+greenbean soup.
And tonight we are going to have a family gathering dinner at my hubby's uncle house to celebrate my hubby's grandma birthday (92 years old). Ryan is so happy when I told him there will be a big birthday cake and great dinner for tonight.Hope I will have a chance to snap some pictures for memories....

Ryan's 4th birthday

1 Feb 2011 is Ryan's 4th birthday and we just have simple celebration at home.
In the afternoon, I cook Mee Suah chicken soup with egg for our lunch.
As for dinner, we have simple dishes and followed by cake cutting after dinner.
Ryan was so happy when I told him after dinner, he could have a cake to eat. He just can't wait to eat the cake..quickly have his dinner and rushed to the fridge and asked for the birthday cake.
When I saw his smile and happiness seeing his birthday cake, I was so happy too..

Mummy and Daddy wish Ryan " stay healthy and always be our good boy".
We love you so much, Ryan...

Happy Birthday, Ryan ...

The clock just striked 12 midnight and it is 1st Feb 2011.... Yeah....Ryan is officially 4 years old today and while I am writing this post, he is just having his night sleep. Since there is no school for this whole week, I allow him play bit late and let him enjoy his night time.
So any birthday celebration for this year?.... Just a simple one....will cook few dishes for dinner followed by cake cutting.
Since last month, Ryan has told me that he want to have birthday cake with spiderman and a car on top of the cake. So I ordered the cake exactly like what he wants.I will collect the birthday cake tomorrow afternoon from the bakery.
As for the birthday present, we bought him a blocks and Ryan is so happy. He can create all sort of cars,ships,etc....with his new toy.

Early birthday present

Ryan 's birthday is coming soon...another 10 more days Ryan will be 4 years old.
Last week, Ryan received his 1st early birthday present from Auntie Serene (from JB)...


So sweet of Serene to send birthday present for Ryan all the way from JB to Sibu.We got to know each other through Mamy poko forum,she is also one of my blogger's friend.

Thank you Auntie Serene for the present....
