Not feeling well

After eating curry chicken for 3 consecutive days, I felt unwell. Sore throat started to visit me,followed by flu and headache. Be it I have popped Clarinase, but my flu will come on and off ,at night, I would have blocked nose which was very irritating and I have to migrate myself from sleeping the same room with Ryan. I don't want he kena "those" bugs from me.
And my hubby is not feeling well too, he has sore throat with cough. Oh no....3 of us under the same roof and only Ryan alone who is pretty healthy now. Both mummy n daddy are unwell.
Be it feel tiring, I have to do the houseworks and still do simple cooking, as we always prefer to eat home-cooked meal.
Hope  both of us fast fast recover....

Lastly, wish all my bloggers ' friends "have a nice weekend"

Cherry mini sponge cake

Yesterday I have more free time at home. Here start my baking project again. At first, I plan to make  swissroll, but it was failed. I guess I baked the sponge cake too thinly and while rolling up,it was cracked and all became mess up. Since my 1st baking was failed, the balance of the batter, I went for Cherry mini sponge cake.

The outcome was Good. It is best for Ryan to bring to school for his breakfast this morning.

Playing time

Ryan loves to play with his Thomas and friends train set lately, ..and he created his own railway track and decorate the surroudings with tree, cars and bridges.I should get him more extension tracks so that he can create longer tracks (may consider to buy when we are back to Medan in Nov). After getting those done, he started playing alone.Moving the car here and there n helicopter will fly here and there. Sometimes,he will ask me or his daddy to play with him together. Quite fun !!

Bake n Cook n Salad Kompiah

Last week, my baking mood was On..after doing my housechores, I started to get ready ingredients to bake Sponge Cake. My mom has brought small mould for me,so this round I baked mini sponge cake. Ryan was so happy when I told him that Mommy was going to make mini sponge cake for him to bring to school for breakfast tomorrow.
And here is the result.....

Yesterday, I cooked "Medan Rendang Ayam" for lunch. Why I said "Medan"..it is because the rendang paste was brought from Medan,my hometown. It taste spicy and tasty...and I just need to cook "steamed rice" to go with my rendang ayam. Easy meal for both me and my hubby.

After having the Rendang ayam for lunch, we continue to have a light snack "salad kompiah".
It was my first time having this salad kompiah.....thumbs up!!! it taste superb.
Kompiah is a traditional Foochow food. It is made from a combination of flour, yeast, water and alkaline. It is best to be eaten with stuffing like meat, vegetables, etc. Sometimes, I will eat with either curry or rendang...it definitely taste great.
Any blogger who come to Sibu, Kompiah is a must eat snack.

School holiday again...

At last I am back to my blog after missing in action for about a week.
Well, this month Ryan will have a few school holiday started from tomorrow onwards.
This morning when I sent Ryan to school, I saw the notice board have an announcement about the school holiday for this month of April. The school holiday is on 4th,6th,9th and 11th....(4 days in a month).
Good...Ryan must be very happy, can play n play and no need to wake up early for school.
For me, I also feel happy, meaning I no need to wake up so early too(oh no....lazy mom).

Till now, we have no plan for this school holiday yet,we just spend our quality time at home doing some revision.
We are looking forward for the coming Gawai holiday whereby we are going to the Lion City (S'pore) for a short holiday trip.

Stay tuned for my next post.....!!
