My Sunday

Yesterday was Sunday....off day for hubby. So after Ryan woke up & taken his breakfast+shower, we went to Courts jalan-jalan.On way back home, we dropped by a ShowHouse.
We reached home around 1pm.Then we took our lunch, i cooked Bak kut teh soup, we ate with meesuah. Yesterday I cooked Sweet Potato porridge for Ryan.
Around 2pm, Ryan took his nap while I was busy preparing vege for dinners. I just stir-fried brocoli with sausages for the dinner plus Bak Kut Teh soup.
Ryan woke up at 5.30pm....then I saw hubby rushed to toilet...juz wondering what happened to him. OMG ..... he was vomitting, should be some gastric problem again. His face getting pale after vomitting for few times. I decided to bring hubby to a doct(24hrs emergency) while Ryan was taking care by MIL. Ryan has been sticked to me all the time, by the time he doesn't see me around, he will call 'ma ma ma' and getting fussy. No choice, MIL has to bring him go jalan-jalan again.

We reached home around 8plus, after hubby took his medicine, he rest in the bedroom.Ryan is a good boy, he did not kacau his daddy while he was having his rest. Ryan was playing n watching TV(one million star-season 3) till 10pm,of course, with my company.

At 10pm, I brought him to the bedroom...time for his Dreamland.After drinking milk and changing pyjama,I companied him sleep till next morning.

Happy Valentine Day

Every February 14th, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday?

We’ve found 2 different legends ... Enjoy!

The first legend, and perhaps the best known, began in Rome, when the Emperor, Claudius II, was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. “Claudius the Cruel” as he was called, was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. He believed that the reason was that Roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. So, he cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome!

The good Saint Valentine, who was a priest in Rome, in the year 269 A.D., together with his friend Saint Marius, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret.
When Valentine's actions were discovered, he was sentenced to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off.
But while in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl, who may have been his jailor's daughter, who visited him during his confinement. Before his death on the 14th day of February, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed

In 496 A.D., Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honor St. Valentine.

Another legend says that Valentine's Day started ...
in ancient Rome, on February 14th, a holiday to honor Juno. Juno was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. Then, the following day, February 15th, began the Feast of Lupercalia.
In those days, the lives of young boys and girls were strictly separate. However, on the eve of the festival of Lupercalia, the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry.

I am back ... I am back ...

Dear my friends,

I am back to Sibu lastnight...still feel tiring after the long waiting at the airport,sit at the airport for about 6 hrs(transit in KL before back to Sibu).
Both me & Ryan really enjoyed ourself in Medan for the past 2 months...but something SAD happened 1 day before CNY. We expected to have a nice gathering dinner with my hubby plus my family during CNY eve...suddenly I got a news that hubby was not joining us due to his passport validity(less than 6 mths). Although my hubby has tried so many ways....all came to '0' and my poor hubby has to celebrate CNY eve by himself in KL. Hubby also couldn't join Ryan's 2nd birthday party. hiks hiks hiks........hiks hiks hiks.

I will try to update my blogs soon....so let's check it out !!!

Countdown for CNY & Ryan's 2nd b'day

Times flies fast....CNY is coming soon and also Ryan's 2nd birthday.
CNY falls on 26th Jan'09 and Ryan's birthday falls on 1st Feb'09. We will be celebrating Ryan's birthday earlier coz his daddy will be back to Sibu on 30thJan'09. Still yet to decide whether to celebrate on 28 or 29th of Jan'09. We will just invite my own family members.

This is 2nd time Ryan celebrating his CNY and his birthday in Medan. He is very very happy spending his holiday trip in Medan for these 2 months.

Away from blogging

Dear my friends,

I will be away from blogging for these 2 months as I am on my holiday trip back to my hometown Medan. Of course, I have lots things to be updated...need lot of times to update into the blog. So....let's check out my blog again in Feb'09.

I will only update my blog after I am back to Sibu on 10th Feb'09.

Potty Training Progess

After being trained for almost 5 months, at last my efforts are paid off.

Pee Pee:
Ryan will tell me when he wants to pee. I have monitored for this whole month, he will always come to me/take the pot & pass it to me when he has the urge to pee pee. But this notty boy like to wait till last min, then will pee pee. Sometimes he will run & run in the living room while I am taking the pot for him to pee.You can imagine how notty he is. As Ryan drinks plenty of water,give him water using sippy cup every hourly, so he will pee very frequently. Not to forget about the barley water, he will drink 2 cups of barley water (without sugar) everyday. Ryan likes to drink barley water alot. Ryan will only stick to diaper during nap & night time & outings.

Poo Poo:
Recently I can see some development in poo poo training, Ryan will give me a sign that he is going to do his big biz. He will point at the pot and wanna sit there. However, there is a time he will bluff me too. He will take the pot,take off his pant & sit at the pot for 10 mins, but nothing is there. Pengsan ** another notty act!

Hope Ryan will be able to complete his potty training when he reaches his 2nd birthday in 2 months time!!

My Holiday Trip

The Big Day that I am waiting for....at last comes & tomorrow afternoon Lex,Ryan & I will depart to JB,overnight there for 2 nights(5-6Dec) before going to Spore on Sunday(7 Dec). I will be in Singapore from 7-10Dec & we will be back to my hometown Medan on 11Dec together with my sis & BIL. We are taking Jetstar direct from Singapore - Medan & the flight will take abt 1hr 5mins, instead of taking Airasia from JB-Medan(this flight was cancelled & lucky Airasia has done the refund back to my hubby's credit card).

I will be staying at Chinatown area, renting a room(more cheaper compared to hotel) while my other buddies Chin & SuYing will be staying at hotel.

Our plan :go to Orchard Rd,Sentosa,Singapore Zoo,Singapore Flyer,VivoCity(@Harbourfront MRT),Bugis area,CityHall area and makan-makan.

It can be a tiring journey for me & hubby as we are bringing Ryan along. This year, we are not going to bring his stroller along as Ryan refused to sit at stroller nowadays. He wants to walk by himself. We hope he will be cooperative during the whole holiday trip.

Wedding Ceremony

Last Sat 29th Nov 2008 was my BIL's Big Day. I have to wake Ryan up early in the morning around 7am as the bride&groom would reach home around 7 plus. I have to rush and get Ryan ready before they reached home. Everything was ready by 7.30am.
Not to forget snapped a family picture for memories and Ryan also posed with the wedding car.
At night, we have a simple wedding dinner at the restaurant. Ryan started to get fussy and cranky while dishes started to serve. Both daddy & I having a hard time as Ryan refused to sit at high chair.No choice, he sat at either his daddy's lap or my lap. After 5 dishes were served, at last we decided to bring Ryan out for a walk as he seem getting impatient to go out for a fresh air. He was so happy can walk here and there till the dinner was ended. Such a tiring day!!

Countdown for my Singapore & Medan trip

I am counting my days 1 2 3 4 5 ....... at last I am going to Singapore on 5 Dec-10Dec'08 and then back to my hometown Medan on 11 Dec'08. I will only be back to Sibu on 10 Feb'09. Really a long long holiday at Medan this year. I miss my family and the food so much. Ryan is looking forward to play with his cousins too.
We will be meeting up with my MP buddies SuYing,Wanchin & Agnes in Singapore on 7 Dec'08. It has been a year haven't met Agnes & little Jing Ting. Can't wait to meet the rest too. It is my first time to meet up with SuYing & Wanchin.The previous gathering all were held in KL and I always missed out. Of course, I do hope to see Ling,ShiokFunn,Nicole,Violet,Queenie and Liteng in Singapore. Too bad they can't make it this time. Miss u gals!!

Lotus Root Porridge

Lastnight I was keep thinking what to cook for Ryan this morning as his breakfast & lunch ?? For the past 2 days, he was having meesuah chicken soup. Let's open up the fridge and check out what vege left inside the fridge...Oh, I saw lotus root. I remember I did read about Lotus Root porridge recipe . I wanna give a try to Ryan .... not sure he will like it or not.

After cutting the lotus root into small pieces, put them into boiling water, add wolfberries and red dates. I used chicken breast meat to add the sweetness to the soup. Cooked for 45mins. For your info, lotus roots are still crunchy after cooking for 45mins. Therefore I decided not to put the lotus root into the porridge when I cooked the porridge this morning.Kept the lotus root soup overnight.

This morning, I used this soup base to cook the porridge for Ryan. I did added in the chicken breast meat,wolfberries and red dates into the porridge too. It turns out to have a very sweet taste for the porridge. Ryan loves to eat these porridge too.

Sorie no picture for sharing this time as I was too busy & forget about it. Will do it next time!

SweeT SmiLe For The DaY

Smile Smile ... What is Mommy trying to blog about ?? When I was browsing thru Ryan's pictures collection tonight , I noticed some of his pictures are full of Sweet Smiles.
Therefore I decided to drag out some of the nice smile pictures and started to do my Smile Project. Frankly speaking, I am not so familiar with Power Point(almost forget how to use it) ... take few hours for me to figure out how it works and at last my project is done.
Phew ***.... Do I feel satisfied with my own creation ??? No comments. I need my Blogger Friends to give me some comments. Feel to dropby....*-*
