Diaperless during nap time

Today is marked as the 3rd day Ryan is diaperless during nap time.I have trained Ryan to wash his both hands and leg before his nap,so this time his routine adds 1 more work :pee before nap.Everything is done well, no pee on mattress during his nap. Once he wake up frm his nap, straightly get his potty to pee.(of course, it is alot after tahan for 2 hrs).Ryan likes to drink water, everyday before his nap, he will drink 1 bottle of water, sometimes even request for more.I am glad that he likes to drink water esp weather is so hot.
I really hope Ryan will be success being out from diaper during nap time.Once the nap time is DONE, then I will plan for the next target, diaperless during night time(maybe still long way to go).

Good going Ryan. You've shown you are a growing boy. My daughter (same age as Ryan) also has achieved this stage but I am wondering how to handle the diaper free night time scenario and am quite keen to start her on it. Will that mean no sleep for me during night times and a disturbed sleep for her too? Quite confused.

Yaggya - For nite time, I will train Ryan to pee before he sleep, then maybe we can set an alarm wakup arnd 3-4am, ask him wakup pee again. Is ur gal stil wakup for mindnite feeding? Ryan normally wil sleep arnd 11pm til nextmorning 9am,no more midnite feeding. Is there any other way????

No, she doesn't have any nite time feeding for a long time now. Yes, will have to use an alarm clock to wake her at the right time. Guess it will happen only thru trial and error.

Yaggya - This is the way I can think of...can giv a try. I m monitoring Ryan fr his nap 1st..at least within 1 mth can success, then I will try on nite time.

aiks.. u plan to wake him up in da middle of the sleep to pee? if i wake ethan in da middle of HIS sleep, he'll cry n wont get back to sleep after dat...

Merryn - That's the only way I can think of to get Ryan pee in the middle of the nite.I m yet to practice it,so still under goin for nap time. For these 3 days Ryan is co-operative and on diaperless during nap time.At least must take 1 mth to show the final outcome.

Any mommies can share better way to be diaperless at nite??

Good job to Ryan:
1) Drink a bottle of water. (I also cant drink that much...hehe)

2) Diaperless during nap time.

3) Can help mommy to save up some money :-)

Before I sleep ( I usually sleep very late around 2am), I just hold my girl (still in sleeping condition), and put her in the potty, she will automatically pee... When i was just too sleepy and didn't get her up to pee, accidents did happen. Till the day she knew to get up herself and pee and went back to sleep. She is now 2Y9m, no more diaper and 99% accident free.

Good job, Ryan. As to night time training, do it when he's ready. He definitely needs lots of encouragement and love from u. Good luck & hope Ryan can be diaperless during night time very soon :)

Joanne - Ryan really like to drink water. Every hour, I sure will giv him some water or ribena.Tats to avoid the heatiness in his body.
Actually i juz bought a pack of Dryper Wee Wee recently, keep untouch. Normally it is use during nap time, not suitable for nite usage,Will juz keep it for outing usage.

Linda - Tq for sharing the tips. Wil practice it for Ryan in future.Hopefully it works for him too.

Fussy mum - Once the nap training is successful, then I will do the nite training for Ryan. Hope it will be successful too.

Agnes - U try to potty train Chloe?? At home she is stil on diaper? That is hot if were to use diaper at home too.

Yes, it is good to let our kid drink more water. When did you first introduced Ribena to Ryan? I thought to buy a small bottle for Sarah to try.

Ryan also used Drypers ya? Sarah too. I also normally use it for short hours outing or just nap time.

Well done, Ryan! Looks like he's quite ready to be diaperless. Can help mommy n daddy to save money. :)

Joanne - Let's me recall back. The first time giv Ribena to Ryan wen he was 15 mths old.Juz little bit of ribena, dun put too thick. That time only giv him ribena once a while. Recently he noe how to say 'grape' n almost everyday he will ask for ribena(2-3 times per day,I only put little bit of ribena for flavor n colour).

Slavemom - Last 2 days Ryan accidentally pee on his mattress during his nap....I can say, stil not succesful yet. Must monitor for a month n c how it goes.Hope he can be diaperless soon.

An update on my end since i last wrote. Ru has started staying diaper free at nights also. She is 2years 2months now. It still isnt a stage of her waking me up for peeing at the right time but i make her go to pee before she leaves for bed and also make her sit in the potty (where she pees automatically) while in her sleep sometime before we go to bed (which is about 12ish) and put her back to bed. As soon as she wakes up in the morning, she goes again. Accidents havent happened much and she seems to be doing fine. Lets hope she will start understanding the concept of waking me if she wants it soon. I was quite worried abt the night times but i think its happened quite easily.

Yaggya - Glad to noe that ur gal has been successful in potty training. She is 100% diaperless now......Good job.

I m yet to train Ryan to be diaperless for nite time.Currently for nap time, he is diaperless and so far only 1 x accident. Hope my boy Ryan wil be diaperless like ur gal during nite time.

Yes, she is almost diaper free except when we go out somewhere or when she goes to school. Her school is carpeted so they are not too open about stayng without diaper though i am asking them to give it a try and see how it goes. Her night time needs one more step of her waking by herself wanting to go to the toilet. Its still me making sure there is no accident. I think then it will be VICTORY and truly Diaper free. Wish u the best for Ryan too.
