" Sand Castle and Christmas Tree "

I am back...after MIA for 3 weeks,at last I have time to update my blogs.

I have been busy with daily routine and was fall sick last few days(sore throat,fever and body-ache).
Today I feel much more better,just need to drink plenty of water to make my
throat feels comfortable.

Let's go back to the topic...It is another backdated post about Ryan's
creation.
My husband has been buying MacDonalds Set Meal just to collect the McD World Cup Contour Glass,for 5 consecutive weeks and he also bought 2 sets for each week.
The set meal came with ice-cream sundae and I kept all the ice-cream cups for
Ryan to play(as his toys).
Ryan has been using them to play bowlings,create sandcastle,christmas tree,etc...
Whatever he can think of,he will do it.So I just let him play around with the Mcd cup and see him play happily, I also feel happy.

Ryan's progress..

After resting at home for 2 months, Ryan has started his half day nursery class in July 2010.

I was so worried that he will cry and make a fuss at school. Thanks GOD,...everything is going well and he can adapt well.
The only problem is that he still refuse to eat the food given by the school. I have to tapao some cake or bread for him to school,or else, he will get hungry.
Of course, every morning, he will have a bottle of milk before goes to school.

Ryan can sing lot of nursery songs and his writing and colouring skills has improved too.
Every night, I will do some revision with him on letters and numbers.
Last night, we did a writing of number 4. and he managed to write it well.
Tonite, we will be doing number 5 and number 6.

Sometimes when I read out certain letter, he will be able to write it out too.

My big problem is writing a mandarin words. Since I am BLIND with mandarin words, for sure I won't be able to teach him Mandarin in future.It is time for me to learn Mandarin too. Oh Gosh ** .... am I too old for it??
I have to start myself up from the basic level........I am not sure whether my brain is working well or not,after retiring from my study for so long.Need some motivation to do it well !!! Help Help Help..........

New Look......New Day **

After resting at home for 2 days due to stomach upset, Ryan has started school again today. Everything goes well... He can adapt well except does not want to eat the food given by the school.
Really hope he will stay healthy always !!

Today, as usual I picked Ryan up from school around 11.45am,then we headed home for lunch. He has home-cooked kampua with green vege + capscium.
After resting for a while, I brought him for a hair cut.Ryan gets sweat easily, therefore I prefer to keep his hair short.
He sit well while the auntie cut his hair. No cry .... Well done, Ryan!!

Once reached home, I washed his hair & showered him at the same time. Ryan put on his own clothes after showering.
Then he stood in front of the TV, saw his own reflection and told me : "Mummy, Ryan botak".I told him he is not Botak,but his hair is short only.

AND............Yeah, this is Ryan's new look.

** Ryan 41 mths old **

Time flies so fast...Ryan has reached 41 mths old today. Today is marked as his 1st day school after having long break for the past 2 mths.
I am so glad that he is doing fine today at school,no cry,never look for "mummy" & behaved well too. The only problem is that he did not want to eat the food provided by the school.Therefore, I have to tapao some light snack for him everyday.

So what are we doing for the past 2 mths since Ryan was at home with me all the while.
I teached him writing,colouring,play puzzles, watch his favo show ULTRAMAN,play toys,sing songs,etc...

I can see some improvement in his colouring skills, Ryan can hold the colour pencil properly & colour within the range(sometimes will out a bit here n there). But overall, it shows an improvement & he has done a good job.



I also has trained him in writing A to Z,but I noticed Ryan can only memorize those words with either vertical or horizontal line,those letters come with bit of curve,susah for him to remember yet.
So far, he can write H,L,I,T,C,E,F and number 1.Need more practice on his writing skill.

Recently, Ryan has a new favo comedian show "Backkom". It is aired on Astro Ceria, very short show,but super funny. Either I myself also like to watch. This comedian show should be originated from Korea.

Not to forget, Ryan likes to eat ice-cream, he prefer walls mini cornetto. He also like to drink Vitagen & Solivite. Tomatoes & barley water have been a light snack for him almost everyday.

Lastly, I wish Ryan stay healthy always.

All in One.....

Wow...at last I have some free time to update my blog which is being abandoned for a few weeks. Everytime when I was in front of laptop thinking of updating my blog,but the "Laziness" appeared,so keep delayed n delayed till today.

Feel free to read for my long pending updates :-

1. Drypers Star Letter.
Yes.... I got 2 stars from Drypers Parents' circle (Jan - Mar 2010).
So....free diaper (3 packs) for Ryan, with a pack of glitter story books + hand puppet.
TQ so much SCA for the gifts...definitely can save my $$, I have not been buying diapers for more than 2 years.


2. Parcel from my hometown.
My friend Lily from Kuching is going back to my hometown Medan last month. This time I asked for her help to bring back " some goodies " for me, get my brother to buy: Immuno8 Chewable Vitamin for Ryan (my niece Yixin is taking these vit,so I decided to give Ryan a try too to boost up his immune system),Clarinase (flu medicine - Medan is selling super cheap 10 tablets less than Rm15 ,while Sibu is selling Rm3/tablet),Pocari Sweat (it taste like 100plus,but no gas...), shirt for me & Ryan (get it chopped @ temple during CNY - called "pho un" in hokkien).

Not to forget, Lily bought me 2 packs of cornflake peanut titbits from Kuching. Taste superb.

TQ so much Lily for your help....brought back my "goodies" from Medan & sent to me via Poslaju from Kuching to Sibu.


3. Thomas & Friends Train Set.
Ryan has been fancied about Train....Since he did not have any train toy, I went to nearby supermarket to get this train set for him. Not expensive Rm11.60 with 10% disc.
Ryan was so happy with this Train set...played it everyday. As of today, he started to get bored with these train set & I have kept it inside the cabinet.
What I can say is Sibu don't have much toys to choose...designs & ranges are pretty limited.


4. Puzzles.
I bought Turtle wood puzzle for Ryan somewhere last year & only recently I took out for him to play. He is very good in solving this puzzle nowadays.
So I bought 3 new paper puzzles for Ryan to play with picture of Thomas & friends, Mickey & friends , Vehicles (less than 20pcs/set). He can fix all those puzzles well too.




5. Ryan's milestones (40 months old).


Yes....Ryan has reached 40 months old (3 yrs 4 mths ++). Time flies so fast....he has grown up alot.
Can be very talkactive at home, but while on the phone, he will be a quiet boy.
Like to egg burger with egg only,no burger meat.
Like to ask Mummy & Daddy to play with him.(he must be lonely)..
Can do spelling - only W , he spell as : dalebiu...instead of dabeliu.
Can sings alot of songs - learn from school & mummy.
Can do colouring better now.

I Hate IT...

Really not sure why I easily fall sick recently. Almost every month I will get minor sickness and most of the time is Flu.
Lastnight, before going to bed, I sneezed a few times,then I went to sleep without any medication.
This morning, I felt my throat is pain & bit of blocked nose. OMG....the flu bug is attacking me again. I HATE IT ...
I prayed hard I fast fast recover,don't spread the germs to my boy Ryan. I have been taking the medicine I got it from doctor last month when I was down with flu & sore throat too.
Now feel slightly better,but on & off I feel bit headache. I also drink ginger water,home remedy that I found online which works for me previously.

Wish myself have a speedy recovery as I need to takecare of Ryan full time.Lucky tomorrow is Sunday, so hubby can help me up in taking care Ryan.

Wish everyone " have a nice weekend ".

Break for 2 months..

You guys might be wondering.....who is going to have a break for 2 months?
Yes...it is Ryan, my dear son. He will stop schooling for the next 2 months.
Since last Sunday, Ryan started developing mild fever after waking up from his nap.
On Monday, he looks 'ok',therefore I sent him for halfday nursery.
On Monday night, his situation getting worse, fever came back again,started to have cough & flu.
Therefore, no school for Ryan for the next few days. At last,both me & hubby came to a decision to stop Ryan from school. We noticed that Ryan falls sick every month since he started schooling. Have giving him vitamin C supplement,but no helps too.

Within these 2 months, Ryan will have a good rest at home to built up his immune system.Of course, I will teach him some educational stuffs during his 2 months break at home. Frankly speaking, I feel more tired now as I have to takecare of Ryan full day 24/7,whilst for the past few months, I only need to takecare of Ryan from afternoon onwards(after he came back from school).

Both me & hubby pray hard that Ryan will get well soon & stay healthy always!!!

Ryan @ 3 yrs 3 mths old...

Time definitely flies very fast..Ryan is reaching his 3 yrs 3 mths old yesterday.
It has been quite sometimes I did not update his milestones.

*Ryan has attended half day nursery for 3 mths started in Feb 2010. So far, he is doing well in school,only don't like to eat the food provided by the school. So I will prepare some light snack for his breakfast & get ready lunch for him everyday.
*Very khepoh nowadays...speak in English & Mandarin. Will teach him a bit of Hokkien too ,or else when he is goin back to Medan,wil have a difficulty to communicate with my mum.
*Can sing lot of songs. Taught by his school teacher & Mummy.
*Can recognise a-z,1-10.
*Like to watch Ultraman & Transformer cartoon.
*Love to read story books.
*Like to play stickers...stick here N there.
*Still like to eat green vege,but not meat.
*Drink plenty of plain water.
*No more crying while going for haircut & doctor.

Gift from Mummy Angel

I received a phone call lastweek from Mummy Angel Chuah(Oscar's boy mummy) that she has sent some sticker books for Ryan. So Sweet of her....!!
I got to know her from Mamypoko Forum quite sometimes back. Since I am more active in Facebook lately,sometimes we will just chat at FB.
I received the parcel last Saturday from Mr.postman.

Thank you so much my dear friend Angel....Ryan would like to say "Thanks" to Auntie Angel too !!

We are Sick...

Who falls sick? ...... Tat's Me n my boy Ryan.

I have been coughing for the past one week,till now stil coughing. Will see doct if my condition is not getting better for the next 2 days.

As for Ryan, he started get mild fever last Sunday afternoon.No appetite on solid food,but still drink milk n water as usual.
Since his fever was up n down till Monday, so I decided to bring him to Dr.Law for further check-up. Yes....another round of throat infection which caused Ryan to have a fever.
Dr.Law gave antibiotik only as I still have sufficient fever medicine at home.(I always standby medicine at home for emergency used).
On tuesday, his fever is gone,but then still no appetite on solid food. For the past 3 days, Ryan was having porridge for his meal,eat less,but at least he is still eating & drink plenty of water too.
On Tuesday, I noticed that Ryan started to cough & have runny nose as his fever has gone. OMG......I must have spreaded cough bug to him again.Poor boy :)
I faster feed him both flu & cough medicine. Monitored his condition for the past 2 days,not much improvement.
This afternoon (Thursday), I decided to bring him to Dr.Law again for his cough & flu as this morning he coughed badly. He has lot of phelgm & doct advised for nebuliser. Doct also gave Singulair medicine(3packs - cost RM24).
Before we left,doct advised Ryan to come back again tomorrow for another round of nebuliser. Pray hard that Ryan will get well soon.
He has skipped his nursery class for one week....It is better for him to get good rest at home before interacting with many kids on next monday.

So BIG ....

You guys might find this blog picture is disgusting..Yes, I totally agreed,it is disgusting. I never saw such a big lizard in my whole life.
Just now I was intended to dry out my laundries,when I lifted up my head to the ceiling, I saw such a BIG Lizard...faster called my MIL, she also said "aiyo...so big,must kill it". I can say my mil is very good in killing the lizards.Most of the time, she can catch/kill the lizards accurately.
Within few seconds, this lizard lie diedly on the floor.Hubby asked me faster grab the camera & snapped this disgusting picture.
Both of us never saw such a big lizard before ... It is longer than 100 plus can & its body is so fat.
I can't imagine if my room has that big lizard,how am I going to sleep every night. Let me tell you....whenever there is a lizard in my bedroom, I have to make sure the lizard is killed or else I won't sleep in my bedroom. So Who is the "lizard killer"?? Of course, either my hubby or my MIL.

Flu is Attacking .....

Last Friday night, Ryan started get flu & slight fever. That's why during dinner time, he shows no appetite. But I did not touch his forehead. After finishing dinner, we watched TV together,then I realized his forehead bit warm.
Get him fever & flu medicine. During midnight, he did wake up few times,because his nose feels uncomfortable.
Yesterday, he did not let him go school.Let him rest at home as I did not want his condition getting worse.
This morning, I brought him to the Dr.Law. According to the doct, Ryan is having throat infection too apart from the flu.
Got 3 medicines from the doct & 1 nasal spray,spent RM82 for medication.

I myself also having a sore throat. I have been drinking warm ginger water for the past 2 days. That is one of the home remedy I found from internet.It works for me.

Hope Ryan & I will recover soon !!

***Our CNY celebration 2010***

This is a backdated post....have been delaying for 1 month for updating about our CNY 2010 celebration.
This year is marked as the 1st year for Ryan celebrating CNY at Sibu. We used to go back to my hometown,Medan(indonesia) for CNY except this year. Hubby decided to stay back at his hometown (sibu) for CNY celebration. For sure, I am a bit sad, I still prefer back to my hometown,have a reunion dinner with my family members at Benteng Restaurant(my family's usual place for reunion dinner every year).
As for me, since I married to my husband,this is the 2nd time I was celebrating CNY at Sibu. The 1st time is during my confinement period,when I gave birth to my boy Ryan.

Okie...let's get back to our CNY 2010 celebration at Sibu...what were we doing during the first 15 days of CNY.

CNY Eve : have a reunion dinner at home,mil cooked all the dishes, I just helped her bit here and there in the kitchen.


*Ryan on CNY's outfit on the 1st day of CNY @ greatgrandma's house*
1st day CNY : visited hubby's grandma (Ryan's greatgrandma) after taking our breakfast (meesuah soup,foochow tradition).At night, visited one of my hubby's uncle - have light snack (panggang with curry chicken) at his house.

2nd day CNY : visited hubby's auntie (from my MIL's side),my hubby's uncles (from my FIL's side).

3rd day CNY : visited hubby's relatives in the afternoon. Night time stayed at home.

4th day CNY : stayed at home.....have a rest.

5th day CNY : Ryan started school for half day. Since hubby has not started working, so we sent Ryan to school together in the morning, then went for breakfast (Tomyam Beehoon)

6th day CNY - 14 th day CNY : normal routines....nothing much.

15th day CNY : Have reunion lunch,mil cooked all the dishes,I just helped her bit here and there in the kitchen. At night,Ryan was playing mini fire crackers at the yard.
