A visit to Marina Bay Sands

During our visit to Singapore on 31 May 2012, we stopped by Marina Bay Sands  at night after walking around Orchard Road in the day time.
It was our first time to Marina Bay Sands, we took the train from Somerset MRT and stopped at BayFront MRT. Pretty convenience..with MRT service at every corner in Singapore, we can travel freely from east to west to north to south.

It was a big shopping mall and lots of branded good shop at this mall.

Since it was dinner time, we quickly have our simple dinner. We did not aim for the restaurant, very pricey. So we just opted for food court and we were having hard time finding the food court...I tried to find the information counter, but not avail. After walking around for 20 mins....at last, my eyes caught this grand foodcourt "Rasapura Masters". This foodcourt offered variety of foods from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam and China.

For Ryan, he  opted for noodles, so  I order "Kolo Mee" for him. Sorry no pic for the Kolo Mee...ryan was too hungry and I forgot to capture the pix.
As for me and hubby, we ordered Mee Siam and Mee Rebus,....taste delicious and bit spicy....Good!!!

But I would say, the food there were pricey. Most of the food cost SG$7 above (without drinks).
Next to the foodcourt is a skating rink...quite big space and lot of peoples are playing ice skating.

We did not go to the Sands SkyPark,it was not cheap either...From there, you can view a spectacular views of Singapore. For detailsof Sands SkyPark, hop here.

Another entertainment is Sampan Rides  along the canal at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Ticket price : SG$10 per person (Kids and Adults).

At first, our intention to Marina Bay Sands was to watch "WonderFull", Southeast Asia's largest light and water show, but we just could not find the way to the exact location and we have run out of time. Here is the show detail:
Wonder Full is shown nightly, weather permitting. Duration is 15 minutes.
Sunday-Thursday:
8pm, 9:30pm
Friday, Saturday:
8pm, 9:30pm, 11pm

Then we walked out from the mall... The NightView of Singapore....

Orchard Road, Singapore

It has been 3 years we never been to Singapore...at last on 31 May 2012, we landed in Singapore..the feeling was great. Alot of changes happened in Singapore. The first that I came across is the MRT station. Previously there was "no gate" next to the mrt track, but now, there was "gate" next to the MRT track,I believed it was for security purposes. and the Train was getting packed and packed each day.
The second changes was some of the bus interchanged are full-aircon now......so good....

On our first day, we stopped by Orchard Road....one of the most hottest tourist spot, shopping paradise. But we went there not for shopping, we brought Ryan to Mt.Elizabeth for ENT check-up. I have fixed an appoinment with Dr.LukeTan few months back. Everything was fine....but Ryan has to continue use nasal spray for his sensitive nose and ear drop for his ear wax (super hard).
When come to payment time.....not cheap at all.....You guys  make a guess how much for the 15 mins consultation???
It cost...SG$350++ for the total bill.

Our next stop is walking to Takashimaya for window shopping, we also stopped by "Yoshinoya" for lunch. Both me and hubby love eating at "Yoshinoya" , it used to be our hang-out place when we were working in Singapore last time.

Teriyaki chicken rice

Spicy Sauce chicken
Beef rice

After having lunch, we walked to the toys section @ Takashimaya....wow...so many toys and Ryan was so happy ....toys paradise for him!!

Then we went to Kinokuniya, one of the biggest book store in Singapore. You can spotted all kind of books there .. fyi,if you are looking for Japanese books, must dropby this bookstore.

Walking down from Kinokuniya, I spotted this Candy Shop name "Candylicious"...very big shop and selling all kind of candies.Just snapped few picture before we headed to next spot.

From my kitchen ....

Another 2 more days, the school will start and my busy day is gonna start soon. Today, I feel more refreshing after resting for few days at home.... and here started my little  projects in the kitchen.

1. Steamed egg cake.
This morning, I saw a can of 100 plus in my kitchen....think and think...what should I do with it?...
Quickly grab my recipe book and here it is ....... Steamed egg cake is ready to be served. It taste good, not too sweet, very soft and fluffy.

2. Noodle soup.
I have  some noodles in my fridge and dished up simple lunch for me and Ryan. For the soup base, I use "ikan bilis" stock ,add some vegetables + tomatoes+fishcake.....the noodles soup are ready.
Ryan managed to finish up a big bowl of noodle soup....and he said "yummy".

3. Homemade Popcorn
I won a few pack of DIY popcorn from facebook contest few months back , this DIY popcorn(brand : o'corn - Indonesia product) was brought by my mom to me all the way from Medan (the organizer only agreed to sent the prize to my Medan address).

Since I do not have microwave at home, I use my cooking pan to cook the popcorn. It took about 3 mins and the popcorn is ready. It came with 2 flavours : butter and sweet kettle. Taste Good!!

Lastly,Wish all my blogger's friends......"Happy Friday"

2.Stir fried the carrots, leeks, big onions + luncheon meat.Add the seasoning too. The put aside.
3.Beat the eggs, add in Evaporated Milk and mixed them well.
4.Soak the cream cracker  into the step (3).
5.Layer the cream cracker  into the baking tray (3x3).

Yakult.......I love it !!

I remembered well my first time having Yakult was during my university time in Singapore. It was a sunny day and I went to my campus canteen for a drink. The first thing that caught my eyes was a bottle of Yakult..I was wondering how is the taste like, since I never drink Yakult before.
Quickly grabbed a bottle ,make the payment and gave it a try...Oh....it taste Good.
Since then, I started to stock up a pack of Yakult in my fridge..it is my favourite drink which do good to my body system.
Constipation is one of the problem that I encountered in my life, I noticed after drinking Yakult, my constipation problem is gone.
One day, I googled to find more information about Yakult & found this useful information on how Yakult works well for our body system :
- Yakult helps to  regulate our bowel movement to avoid constipation and diarrhea
- Yakult helps to  maintain the balance of good and bad bacteria in our intestines
- Yakult helps to reduce production of toxins in our body
- Yakult helps to  enhance our body's immunity to reduce risk of infections and reoccurrence of cancer cell.

Since I moved back to Sibu, I was having a hard time getting Yakult from local supermarket, I have visited quite a number of supermarkets, but there is no avail of Yakult brand in their beverage section. Until one day, Giant Hypermart was opened in Sibu and I went there for  shopping. While walking through their beverage section, I saw Yakult was displayed on the rack. Not to wait, I grabbed 2 packs of Yakult into my shopping trolley.  So happy ... at last, I can drink Yakult daily which definitely give a good effect for my body.

Yakult is not only my favourite drink,my son Ryan also loves to drink Yakult. Everyday after taking his lunch, he will drink a bottle of Yakult, which keep him stay healthy and no more constipation problem.

Ryan enjoying his mee goreng with a bottle of Yakult

From the website, I noticed that Yakult is providing a "Home Delivery" service to their customers,I am not sure whether this service is available for Sibu area....anyway, I have submitted my enquiry online about this issue and hope to get a reply from Yakult company soon.

Drinking Yakult daily will help to top up our beneficial bacteria. Always stay healthy with Yakult!!

Lastly, for those bloggers' friend who  have a great experience with Yakult, do join this "Blog and Win with Yakult" contest. For more information on the contest, please click here.

Good Luck @@@
