Relaxing Day...

At last, Ryan has finished his school exam. Since last wednesday, Ryan was having an exam for Mandarin, English,Science/Moral,BM and Maths. Tonight is definitely a relaxing night for 3 of us. No more revision and Ryan can play his toys till max. While I am typing this post, Ryan is yet to sleep and he is still playing around with his blocks.Let it be since tomorrow is off-day for him.
Next week his exam results will be out,then only I will kan-cheong ...Is Ryan doing well in his exam? I know that he is trying his best.For the past 3 days, everytime when I fetched him back from school, I would ask whether he could do the exam questions and he answered me "YES",I can do all the questions. So just wait and see for the results next week.
School holiday is coming soon.... and we are planning for our first beach trip to Tanjong Manis.

Exam again...

Next wednesday, Ryan will have his first exam for K1 class (exam for 3 days). At this time, I started to get stress and doing more revisions with him on all the subjects that are going to be tested.
This year Ryan is entering Plus K1 class,for maths and mandarin it will be more difficult compared to Normal K1 class. For me, being a "BANANA", seeing those mandarin words stroke, my head started to spin. Actually it is a good chance for me to learn Mandarin while teaching Ryan his Mandarin subjects. But as day passed,his Mandarin lesson is getting tougher especially writing a mandarin words with more than 5 strokes...Oh no, I just can't remember them well. Today I learnt how to write this word, tomorrow I will forget about it and have to flip back the book to check. I would say, Ryan is writing and memorizing better than me for those Mandarin words.
Since Ryan is not attending any tuition class,of course, both me and my hubby have to put more effort in teaching him every night at home. I am teaching both Malay and English while my hubby is teaching him both Mandarin and Maths.
Both me and my hubby are trying our best to teach Ryan for his coming exam. Hope Ryan can pass and get good results.

Colouring Competition

Today is the first time Ryan joined colouring competition opposite Bukit Aup. Before registrating his name to his school teacher, I asked Ryan whether he is interested to join. Getting a "YES" answer from him and here we are at Bukit Aup this morning. (sorry no picture was taken as I forget to bring my camera).
It was started at 7am-9pm,but at last we stayed there till 11pm as the competition started late and we have to wait for the winner announcement.
You guys might ask....did he win the competition???

.........After been waiting for an hour, at last the result was out and Ryan did not win anything,not even the conso prize. He was bit unhappy,but lucky no cry.
I kept told Ryan..never mind, this round never win, next time do even better to get better prize.
I do think of letting Ryan join "colouring class" at his school,at least it does help to improve his colouring skills.

Although not a good news,but I just wanna to mark down this "Day" in my blog.

My Valentine 2012

Yesterday is a Valentine Day..How do I celebrate it? I just lazed at home with my hubby and Ryan. Nothing special for this Valentine Day. I also did not expect to receive roses or any gift from hubby. Since we got married, there is no more celebration on Valentine Day. Sometimes, we even forget about this DAY. For me, roses is just a waste of money, of course, If my hubby bought it for me, I would feel very happy.
This morning, I simply asked my hubby...no gift for me on this Valentine Day..and my hubby quickly replied, I have bought you an Air Ticket for this coming Nov for your trip back to "your kampung". Then I just smiled and kept quiet. In my heart, of course, I felt happy to receive the news that I am going back to Medan again this coming Nov.Can't wait for that DAY to come.
Down in my heart, everyday can also be a Valentine Day..as long as we love and respect each other, it is more than enough for me.

Ryan 5th Birthday

ON 1 Feb 2012, we celebrated Ryan 5th birthday....time flies so fast, Ryan has reached 5 years old now. He becomes more independent and asking lot of questions nowadays.
I just cooked simple dinner and invited MIL for dinner. Also bought him a cake with Ultraman+car decoration(as per Ryan's request).

Ryan was so happy and can't wait to eat the cake. He has a big slice of cake for that night.

CNY performance @Civic Centre

On 14 Jan 2012, we went to watch CNY performance organized by Sibu RTM at Civic Centre (that was the night where our car was almost stolen).
The performance was started at 7pm,so we have an early dinner and quickly get ready for the performance. Ryan was getting excited to watch the dragon show,etc.
It was started slightly late around 7.30pm and was crowded,lucky we managed to get 4th row seat.
Ryan enjoyed the show for the first half an hour,after that he started to get bored and complained hungry.I forgot to bring some snacks for Ryan to eat.

It was our first time watching CNY performance at Civic Centre and bad incident happened to us,such a bad luck!!
However, we enjoyed the whole performance...

Gong Xi Gong Xi

On the first day of CNY, we just have a simply day going on. I would say, we spent almost wholeday at my in-laws house and visiting my hubby's aunt in the afternoon.

Bad Day

Last saturday (14 Jan 2012) was a very bad day for us.Why do I say so? That saturday night, we went for Chinese New Year performance by RTM at Civic Centre,Sibu. My husband received an invitation cards. We reached there before 7pm and parked our car near the market parking lot.I would say the place is bit dark because don't have lot of lamp posts.There are other cars were parking there too.
By the time the performance ended, it was around 10.30pm and Ryan was feeling hungry, so I went to nearby kopitiam tapaoed fried noodle for him. Hubby and Ryan walked to the car waiting for me. My hubby was shocked to see out behind car's lights were keep blinking and he sensed "something fishy" must be going on there. He opened up the car door and OMG....only left the gear stick,the whole gear cover was taken out by the thieves.Lucky, my hubby has the habit to Lock the gear before we went off for the performance,or else, our car sure went missing that night.Then my hubby started the car engine and see whether it worked...the car still can move.
When I reached the car, my hubby asked me to take a look at the gear and told me what has happened, it was dark at the surrounding and I did not even noticed our gear cover was taken out.Since the car could move,so hubby drove back home slowly and we managed to reach home safely.
Then we tried to re-call back...that night, it was raining heavily while we were watching the performance and we believed it was happened during raining time because the front seat mirror was bit wet. But we did not even noticed that the thieves was actually broke in through the car bonnet. Until the next morning, when hubby reached the workshop and they checked,then they told that the thieves came into the car through the car bonnet.The key hole was taken off too.
No choice, the bad incident has happened and we just hope our car can quickly get fix before CNY. We are still waiting for the sparepart to reach Sibu as there is no ready stock at Perodua workshop.
Hopefully we can claim back the expenses from our car insurance company as it costs around RM1500 for the whole repair.

CNY Cookies

Chinese New Year is coming soon and I was busy doing the spring cleaning,buying all those CNY goodies, and also bake some CNY cookies.
I baked 2 type of cookies : peanut butter cookies and Nestum cookies.
As for the pineapple cookies and Bangkit susu cookies, my dearest sister helped me bake them while I was in Medan last month.
I managed to finish all my baking session before school started.Thanks GOD...!!
This year will be my first year have to prepare CNY goodies for my guests,all the while all this things were prepared by my MIL(no choice la..now I stay on my own).

What I bring Home

Continue from my previous post, here are some goodies that I brought back all the way from Medan (my hometown)...If possible, I would like to bring more things back home from Medan.

It is a MUST food to bring back to Sibu because I love eating these swissroll. Actually I brought home 4 boxes,left 1 box in the fridge now.

This is "Kue Bawang" that I mentioned on my previous post, it taste spicy and will be one of the snack for coming CNY.


Not to forget, Ryan also received small present from his uncle (Thomas & Friends train set) and from grandma (3 Hot wheels cars).


I also bought 4 wall stickers + 2 mini wall racks from INFORMA.
Lastnight, my hubby managed to complete a set of wall sticker for the living room area...how does it look? Nice?..

Back to Sibu

I was back to Medan for about 3 weeks.I really enjoy my holiday in Medan.
Eating is the best thing to do in Medan. For sure, I do put on weight everytime I went back to Medan. I could have more than 3 meals in a day....I was keep eating n eating during my 3 weeks holiday in Medan.Don't ask about my weight,but for sure I do put on weight for at least 1kgs ****

We took morning flight from Medan at 8am and arrived at KL around 10.30am. Our connection flight to Sibu is 2.10pm and we arrived in Sibu around 4.30pm. It was quite tiring sitting and waiting in the airport.
Lucky my kind MIL helped me clean out my house and cooked for us a simple dinner.After having our dinner at MIL's place, we went back home and I started to unpack all my stuffs brought back from Medan till almost midnight.
Since CNY is coming soon, I did brought yummy Kue Bawang" from Medan. It will be one of the snack for my guests on this coming CNY.If you wanna try "Kue Bawang"...dropby my house on CNY next month,ok?.....I waiting for you guys...

I also bought curry,rendang and gulai ayam paste, C&F swissroll all the way from Medan. As for my husband, he brought 2 mini racks to display his Coke Cans from ACE HARDWARE (One of the biggest furniture & hardware store in Indonesia.
And for Ryan, he received a set of Thomas & Friends playset from my brother.

The 3 of us really enjoyed out holiday alot and Ryan kept telling me...he want to study in Medan. Of course, I do wish to stay back in Medan,but it is impossible:(

Missing Medan and my family alot.....hope to go back Medan again SooN *-*

New Game & New Toy

Lately Ryan is getting addicted playing PS game. The PS player is belong to hubby,but since Ryan has grown up, he is allowed to play once a while.Now is school holiday and sometimes, he will keep begging to let him play longer.
Ryan likes to play those "racing car" game...I guess, that is boy's favo game.Now, he can control the car better on the racing track.Sometimes, he will ask either me or his daddy to play with him.


Last few days while doing our shopping at GIANT,hubby wanted to buy Ryan a super big lorry,but Ryan seem not interested on it. Instead he chose for a set of Mini Ultraman.

He is a fan of Ultraman.....from Max, Nexus,Mebius,Tiga,Cosmos,etc....
Hubby even downloaded some Ultraman movie for Ryan to watch on weekend.

Our simple lunch : Noodle Soup

Yesterday afternoon, I decided to cook something simple for our lunch. Since only left me and Ryan at home, I decided to cook "noodle soup" (our favo dish) for today lunch.
See what I have in the fridge : carrot, vege + sausages.These are the 3 ingredients I used for the noodle soup. Ryan does not like to eat fishball,so I hardly have any fishball in my fridge,but for sausages...Yes, I always standby at least a pack.
To add more aromatic to the soup, I added in some fried ikan bilis with sliced ginger + minced garlic.

Noodle soup is ready to be served.

While cooking halfway, Ryan kept asking me...is my noodle ready?...is my noodle ready? He is just too hungry and can't wait for his lunch.

Ryan was enjoying his Noodle soup...slurpppppp...

For your info, Ryan was having slight fever out of sudden two days ago,so his appetite was a bit down.
Today Ryan is doing good,of course, after taking "fever + antibiotic". Nowadays I always standby a bottle of antibiotic medicine at home for Ryan.At least, I do not need to rush him down to the paed when tonsilitis + fever is attacking him. Ryan is prone to tonsilitis, be it, I have control his food intake,but on and off, tonsilitis will come to visit him too. I planned to bring him to ENT for a check-up next year.
