Call from Drypers

This afternoon, I received a call from Drypers (SCA company) telling me that my comments was selected to be published at Consumers'Voice list for the coming edition. I am so happy to hear it and Drypers is giving me some diapers as a complimentary gifts. They will courier it to me within 2 weeks time...Looking forward to my diaper gifts *-*

Busy ..... Busy .... Busy

After so long, at last I managed to capture a video of Ryan busy playing with Enfagrow box and his milk formula. He started open up the cabinet where I keep all his milk formula stock and all his new clothes. He took out Enfagrow box where I keep his OSHKOSH shoes inside.Then he took put back his shoes into the box and started to take his milk formula out too.I bought 5 tins of Enfagrow to keep stock.He took 2 tins of Enfagrow and 1 tin of Enfapro, then he wanted to put them into the box,but unluckily it is too small to put them in. So he decided to keep them back to the cabinet. He tried so hard to carry Enfagrow 1.8kgs into the cabinet, it is too heavy for him to carry. Therefore he only managed to keep Enfapro 400 gram into the cabinet.
I have been training Ryan to keep whatever stuffs that he has token from the cabinet.It is good to train him since he is young, so that he will have a habit to keep things back to the original place. And also always remind him not to mess up the cabinet (of course, he will still mess it up sometimes, but there is a time where he will close back the cabinet door once I tell him to do so - it is depend on his mood).

I have been trying to snap more Ryan's pics, but always get it blurr coz he is moving here n there while seeing me snap his pics. I juz can't get the good pic of him.So after trying my best, I managed to snap this 4 pics (16mths old ++)

Happy Dumpling Festival...

The chinese rice dumpling = Zhong Zi = bak chang

The story of 'duan wu' festival or dumpling festival is like that...

Once upon a time in the Chu kingdom there live a scholar-poet called Qu yuan. This man is very patriotic and he jumped into the Miluo river after the Chinese emperor refused to listen to his advice which resulted to the fall of the Chu kingdom.

So, Qu yuan friends and the people in Chu kingdom went to search for his body but they could not trace it. Then, in order to lure the fishes and demon away from Qu yuan body, they made dumplings and threw them into the river to protect the body.



Here is it !! Eat the dumpling and know the story. So that each time when other people asked we can answer them proudly that we chinese actually has a patriotic soul once upon a time.

Time flies *** Ryan is 16 months old+++ now. He has grown up to be an active boy.
* Started to call 'papa' and 'mama' everyday. Whenever he want something or need some helps, he will call either 'pa' or 'ma'. Noticed that he sticks to his daddy esp during night time. Become a manja boy and want daddy to accompany him sleep every night (ops....mommy has to be alone in the bed...hahaha).
* Muttered alot of words...its baby talks.(mommy n daddy can't understand wat he is trying to say).
* Started to eat rice during dinner, always join mommy n daddy during dinner time.
* Like to watch TV advs ,Doraemon n Barney show. Lucky daddy get Astro MAX that can record all the nice shows. So mommy has to repeat the show to Ryan everyday. So boring lol....but Ryan loves it alot.
* Can wave 'goodbye',shake hand,give me 5,clap hands,like to pretend hit mosquitoes (learn from his grandma),can hold his own milk bottle. will nod his head when he doesn't want something.
* Can climb stairs by himself (will make noise and want to climb up stairs when clock reach 10pm every night, it has been a habit for him).
* Like to dig out his story books ..after flip a few pages, then take another books again....headache, whole floor full of story books.
* Like to play with ball either big or small ball. All are his favourite.
* Like to bite pillow, bolster,etc....Oh...forget to add, mommy's hand always kena bite too....very very pain.hiks hiks**
* Like to sleep in FROG STYLE and can roll from one end to another end on his mattress.
* Love to eat : banana, papaya,apple. Recently, like to drink barley and green bean soup...

Mommy will update Ryan's development again on next mth .....will be continued ****

My Worried Day

21 May 08 - Ryan woke up at 9am.He was having slight fever.As usual after breakfast, I will bath him and then we will be playing together. Before having his lunch, I feed him PCM for fever n subsequently his temp is getting down. After lunch, he headed for his afternoon nap. He woke up around 4pm and his fever is back again.I started to worry and again I feed him PCM around 5pm. I am having a hard time to feed him medicine coz he refused to open up his mouth n keep crying when he saw me take medicine. However, he still can play as per normal. After taking his dinner, he played with his daddy and around 10.30pm, he slept.

22 May 08 - Ryan woke up at 1am in the morning ...cried for his milk n my hubby noticed that his forehead is hot and his temp has up to 38.2'c. He finished up all his milk, but he could not get back to sleep.Kept rolling here n there. So we decided to bring him to 24 hrs emergency @SSMC. Doct inserted Voren to his buttock and of course, he cried very loud at the clinic.After reach home, his fever was down abit n he managed to continue his sleep till the next morning.
As usual, Ryan woke up around 9am and when i touched his forehead, the fever was back again. At last, I have no choice but to insert another Voren to his buttock during lunch time and he took his nap soundly after that. But once he woke up around 5pm, the fever came back again. I was so worried and told my hubby to bring to Dr.Law for check-up. According to Dr.Law, Ryan 's throat was swollen and it leads to his fever.Dr.Law suggested to inject an antibiotik for the throat infection. Of course, Ryan will cry n cry when he saw the doct.Dr.Law also gave few tablets of Voren and Paracetamol and antibiotik syrup for Ryan.

23 May 08 - Ryan 's fever still the same....the medicine can only be effective for 5-6 hrs and then his fever will come back again. So I inserted Paracetamol to his buttock to relieve his fever and he took his nap for 2 hours. He woke up at 4pm and he felt so weak..he just want to lie on the bed. I quickly called his daddy back home and we brought Ryan to Dr.Law. When we reached his clinic, Ryan fever was about 39'c and Dr.Law suggested to admit Ryan to hospital for further investigation.My heart was pain n my tears was dropping.

Ryan was brought to operation room to do a lining at his leg,tats was for a drip and easier for inserting medicine coz Ryan refused to take oral medicine.He was crying n crying...whenever he saw someone open to room door, he would cry. He did not even want to lie on the bed. So I have to hug him for whole night.I was so worried and dunno what to do....Ryan has to suffer so much,my poor boy.His body temp was kept monitoring and he was kept inserted Voren and paracetamol to bring down his fever.Blood and urine test were conducted and all showed (-) result.

24 May 08 - Ryan condition still the same. Fever still 'on' n 'off' from time to time.

25 May 08 - Today, Ryan looks better and no more fever for the past 12 hours,without any medication at all. Doct said that if by 24 hrs, Ryan did not have a fever, then he can discharge the next day. I can see any improvement on Ryan. He can play around and become active back again,but his body developed red spots and according to doct, tat was measles.For conclusion, Ryan 's fever was caused by throat infection and measles. At last, I do feel better and have an appetite to eat too.

26 May 08 - Doct visited Ryan around 10am and Ryan can discharge already. This time, he seem don't really scare at doct and he even hold doct's hand and walked out to the room door. Both Ryan n I feel happy..we can back to our sweet home after being at hospital for 3 days.

27 May 08 till now - Ryan is back to his active world and the red spots was gone totally on 29 May 08. He also started to eat his porridge. Pity him...a lot of foods he can't consume due to measles.According to old folks, need to wait till 1 month, then he can consume bread,pork,fish,etc. Ryan feels suffer coz a lot of foods he can't eat and he has to be at home all the time.At last, I feel relieve and can sleep well too *-*

Lucky my hubby bought an insurance for Ryan, hospital bills was paid by insurance and all the clinics bills also claimed from insurance co.

Away from Blogging

Dear all frends,

I will be away from updating my blog due to Ryan was hospitalized for past few days(coz of high fever). He was discharged from hospital yesterday afternoon....Will update my blog once Ryan is fully recover.

My 15 months old

Time flies and Ryan has grown up to be a toddler......He is 15 1/5 months old now.I am having a hard time to snap his pics nowadays.Whenever I took out a camera, he will rush to me and want to grab the camera. Then he will make a lot of noises if I refused to let him touch the camera. Most of the pics are blur blur as he keeps moving n moving while I am taking his pics. This is 1 of the pic that looks better .... it was taken when Ryan is 15 months old. Does my face looks sleepy...????

Drypers Milestone Program

Finally I received the Drypers Milestone Folder after waiting for almost 3 months..I have been calling them a few times to check on the status and I was told to wait n wait ... still under processing. My hubby helped me collected the folder on last Monday from post office.
The folder is nice and colourful and the inserts are very useful too.
